A Brief History of our Project
The members of the 56th New York Volunteers Inc. have been working hard to have the National and Regimental flags reproduced. Years back, it was a challenge to get information about the flags. We had the National flag reproduced, but could not find a picture of the Regimental flag. After six years of searching, we have found the flag. We are now in the process of having digital photographs taken, and then have it reproduced.
Below are the photos that are now on file. They were taken back in the 1970's are not of the best quality as you can see.
